If your New Year’s resolution is to try something new or to travel more, then organising a winter coach trip is an ideal way to keep that promise to yourself. Whether you want to stay in the UK or visit Europe for the day, travelling by coach is an affordable, comfortable and safe way to start the year with an adventure. It’s also a great way to unwind after the busy Christmas period (especially if your house has been full of guests and children for weeks!).
Where can we take you?
The first step in planning your New Year’s coach trip is deciding where you’d like to go! If you fancy doing some shopping, you could hop on an organised day trip to Cité Europe – a huge shopping centre near the Channel Tunnel – and treat yourself to a few new purchases for 2018. If you’d rather spend the day exploring a town or city in the UK that you’ve never visited before, then you could book a day trip to show you the sights. Popular destinations for coach travellers include Winchester, Bath, London, Windsor, the Cotswolds, Clacton-on-Sea and Margate. If you fancy going further afield (perhaps for a spot of skiing or hiking!), some coach operators will be able to take you to breath-taking destinations across Europe.
Travelling with a group?
If you want to get away with your friends or family, then you could consider hiring a coach privately for your trip. Whether you’re staying in the UK or going to Europe, you can get driven there in comfort in a private coach or minibus. Doing so means that everyone in your group can enjoy the trip and sit back and relax for the journey, rather than having to worry about driving. When there’s a group of you, travelling by coach is generally a more cost-effective option than using trains, planes or ferries, as the cost of the hire is split between you – rather than everyone paying for an individual ticket. It is also more comfortable, as it means that you’ll all be sitting together, with no changes or connections to worry about, and that you’ll be driven directly from A to B, without the hassle of getting to and from the train station, port or airport. It’s a great way to start the year, in our opinion!
