All of us have had amazing experiences at summer music festivals. It’s a unique chance to immerse yourself in the atmosphere and see all your favourite bands in a weekend. But despite the amazing memories of music festivals gone by, transport always puts a downer on the experience.
How many of us have queued in our cars to get in to a music festival – or, even worse, queued to get out. The last thing anyone wants after a weekend of excess is to be the designated driver. In many cases, it’s really not advisable to drive after a sleep-deprived weekend anyway.
How we can help
When you hire a coach from Mayday Travel, your experience starts as soon as you step on board. You don’t have a sat nav to wrestle with, and there’s no need to stress about getting there late.
When you’re heading to a remote festival location, you’ll be miles away from the nearest supermarket. It’s important that you bring all your creature comforts so you’re not stuck in the middle of nowhere without supplies. If you’re heading to Glastonbury, or even Reading Festival, you can chuck everything you need into the boot. We have ample storage for tents and sleeping bags; if you can carry it, you can bring it on board.
Your coach will be driven by one of our experienced drivers who are there to get you there in style. They know the best routes to Glastonbury from London, and they will deal with all the practical side, like parking. From the moment you climb aboard, you can kick back and chat with your mates on the way to the big event.
Affordable and safe
Mayday Travel operates a range of vehicles, from people carriers through to double-decker buses. You can hire any type of vehicle to get to a music festival, and we can guide you if you’ve not hired a coach before.
Our vehicles are fitted with seatbelts, and they’re air conditioned to avoid feeling stuffy and uncomfortable. Reclining seats mean you can rest a sore head on the way home, too.
Your driver will drop you in an official drop-off area for safety, and they’ll be there to collect you on the last day. No driving, and no navigation: just hop onto your coach and enjoy a smooth journey home.
Hiring your coach
If you’re heading off to a music festival with friends, it makes sense to hire a coach. Not only will you get there in comfort and style, you’ll stay safe and stay together on the way there and back. All of our drivers are DBS checked and have driven the length and breadth of the UK.
We understand that you may not have hired a coach before, and we’re here to make it easy and straightforward. We have a limited number of vehicles, so don’t delay. Once you have a rough idea of numbers, and you’ve booked your festival tickets, drop us a line, or give us a call.
