Revised for 2022. We will travel to the canal for an approximate 2 hour cruise. The boat will cruise along the idyllic Loxwood Link section of the canal on the Surrey/West Sussex border. In the 19th century it was possible to travel by boat from London to Littlehampton, and part of the route was via the rivers Wey and Arun, which we will experience today. Although only one part of an extensive system, the Wey and Arun Canal formed a vital link, the only one between the south coast and the Thames, linking London and the busy river Thames with the English Channel – and beyond. . On route home from the wonderful Wey and Arun canal we will stop at the historic town of Dorking. There will be time to wander the shops and have a look around this pretty little town and maybe even grab a coffee.
