Wey & Arun Canal Trip With Cream Tea at The Onslow Arms Pub – Friday 23rd August 2019

New for 2018. Join us on a peaceful boat trip on the Wey and Arun canal.  The boat will cruise along the idyllic Loxwood Link section of the canal on the Surrey/West Sussex border. In the 19th century it was possible to travel by boat from London to Littlehampton, and part of the route was via the rivers Wey and Arun, which we will experience today. Although only one part of an extensive system, the Wey and Arun Canal formed a vital link, the only one between the south coast and the Thames, linking London and the busy river Thames with the English Channel – and beyond. After boat trip we will visit the Onslow Arms pub where we will have freshly prepared cream teas with tea, coffee and lovely warm scones to enjoy, then relax for the journey home.
