We also have a qualified in house trainer who is able to provide and qualify applicants in PAT's and MIDAS which is the safe boarding and alighting from vehicles for wheelchair users. It includes the passenger assistants legal duties, the passenger assistants main duties, assisting the driver, health and safety awareness, manual handling awareness, safety on longer journey's, emergency procedures and contingency plans, passenger awareness, passenger assistance, the safe boarding and alighting from vehicles, safety for passengers who use wheelchairs in vehicles, passenger assistance care and supervision, mobility aids and special seating for children and safety harnesses including additional equipment.
